Harley-Davidson breaks ground at new Las Vegas dealership
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Construction on the new Harley-Davidson dealership has begun in Las Vegas, and it's changing the skyline of the Las Vegas Strip.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday morning, where the 50,000 square foot new dealership will sit.
The new state-of-the-art dealership will be on the south end of the Strip, near the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign.
It will offer motorcycles, clothes and accessories.
Las Vegas Harley-Davidson President Don Andress and Vice President Timothy Cashman, along with Gov. Brian Sandoval were on hand for the big event.
A custom-made, 150th anniversary motorcycle, celebrating Nevada's big anniversary, was signed by the governor and unveiled as part of the celebration.
The bike will make appearances at events celebrating Nevada's sesquicentennial throughout the year until it is raffled off at the grand opening of the new dealership this fall.
The new store will replace the Eastern Avenue location. Action News was told those employees will relocate.
