Most of the city\u2019s broader Arts District parking updates are set to take effect Oct. 1, 2026. Street parking will be free Monday through Friday from midnight to 1 p.m. Paid street parking will run from 1 p.m. to midnight on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.
Monthly Parking Passes
Residents and employees in the Arts District will be able to buy monthly parking passes. The city plans a $30 monthly pass for the new garage and a $20 monthly pass for 10-hour street parking spots in the district.
North of Charleston Timeline
Paid street parking north of Charleston Boulevard will not start before January 2027. The city says it has ordered a parking rate survey for that area before deciding on rates.
