Las Vegas teens who live within city limits can enter for a chance to take part in a free community quinceañera this fall. The city will select 15 residents ages 14 to 16 for the Oct. 10 Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, where each winner may invite 10 guests.
When and where
The community quincea\u00F1era is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave. in Las Vegas.
Who can enter
The contest is open to Las Vegas city residents ages 14 to 16. The city says entries are limited to one per person, and winners must live within Las Vegas city limits.
How to register
Registration is free and remains open through Aug. 16. Applicants can enter through the city\u2019s online registration form at forms.office.com using the link provided in the city announcement.
How winners will be selected
Fifteen quincea\u00F1eras or quincea\u00F1eros will be chosen by random drawing. Each winner may bring 10 friends or family members, with dinner included for the winner and their guests.
What the celebration includes
The celebration is part of Hispanic Heritage Month. The evening will include a mariachi performance, additional entertainment, dinner, DJ music and dancing.
