How we verify
Verification is a manual review, done by our team, and it is always free.
What gets checked
A member of our team confirms that the listing represents a real, operating business — typically by cross-checking the business's own website, public contact details, and, for categories where it applies (contractors, healthcare providers), the relevant license or NPI number against the issuing authority's own public record.
Once approved, a verification badge appears on the business's profile page. It stays tied to that business, not to any plan the business is or isn't paying for.
Why it's free
If verification could be bought, it wouldn't mean anything — it would just be another badge for whoever paid the most. So we don't sell it. Any business, on any plan (including the free listing), gets the same automatic review, on identical terms.
How it happens
Claim your business first, then completely fill out your profile — see Verification for what to fill in. One of our team members then hand-verifies your business name, address, phone, email, professional license, NPI number, and business license, as applicable to your category.
You don't have to request anything — it happens automatically once your profile is complete. The verification badge itself can take 1–3 business days to appear, but your listing goes live as soon as your business email is confirmed, well before that.
